Quests


      Recruited soldiers can be sent on quests to improve their skills. A quest can last from 100 to 300 turns. You cannot send out less than 100 soldiers to go on a Quest. When they return they will be upgraded to a new level of expertise. While they are gone, the barracks, stables or guild space is reserved for when they return. There is a 10% chance that they could be killed on the quest and never return, but if they do return they will fight as a Master of their weapons. The soldiers that can be sent on quests and what they return as are:

Swordsman - Master Swordsman
Spearman - Master Spearman
Pikeman - Master Pikeman
Archer - Master Archer
Crossbow - Master Crossbow
Axeman - Master Axeman
Thief - Master Thief
Knight - Royal Knight
BlackKnight - Death Knight
Wizard - Sorcerer
Cleric - Priest
Master Swordsman - Master at Arms

      Remember that not only are their skills increased, but their upkeep is also. They will not be available for battle or defending your kingdom while on a quest.
