About Carnage

Carnage is a game that allows you to rule your own kingdom. Your ruler can be either a Fighter, Wizard, Thief, Cleric or Necromancer. Each has its own special abilities.
Your kingdom is composed of acres of land that will house all your buildings and army. You will start out with very few buildings when you first create your kingdom. Your castle is level 0 which can be upgraded as your kingdom grows. Your kingdom must have peasants to survive. They will make up your population and pay taxes that allows you to upkeep your kingdom. As you build villages, peasants will move into your kingdom, provided you have enough farms to feed them. You must be careful in the beginning not to build and recruit more than you can support.
The first priority should be to build villages and farms to establish a population. Next you will want to recruit soldiers to protect your kingdom and to fight to gain more land to increase the size of your kingdom. In the beginning you will find uninhabited land which can be claimed without battling.
Each land is a Carnage acre, approximately 1 sq. mile, and will allow 10 buildings to be built on it. After you have acquired 30 land, you will no longer find land not occupied by an enemy that must be slain to claim the land.
You can protect your Kingdom with Castle upgrades. Each Castle upgrade costs 50gp to support so, be careful not to build more than you can support. Each castle upgrade increases your population by 100 and your Army capacity by 50. Each successful attack on a Kingdom that claims land will destroy a random number of Castle Upgrades, depending on the attackers level. When it reaches 0, a Conquer button will be available in the Claim land screen. When trying to conquer a Kingdom, the attacker suffers a -10% on attack and defense. If Conquered, a Kingdom is removed from Carnage and the attacker will get spoils.
There are 8 frontiers to conquer to become the #1 Kingdom in Carnage, with 2 different paths at the second Frontier. Each frontier has a Guardian that must be defeated to cross to the next. The Guardian cannot be challenged until the frontier key is found while claiming land. Each frontier has tougher monsters so you should acquire sufficient levels of experience before crossing into the next frontier. Each frontier requires either 5, 10, or 15 levels of experience to cross to the next. Once a frontier is crossed, you cannot go back. Once you find the Key you will not be able to scout land anymore until you cross the Frontier, except from other Kingdoms.
Other kingdoms in the same frontier will be encountered and can be attacked or raided. Once a kingdom is encountered it will become a Known Kingdom. You can attack it as long as you are in the same frontier. Once the key to cross the Frontier is found, a new link will appear on the Main Menu. Your chances of scouting land after the key is found is greatly reduced until you cross the Frontier. Guardians of the Frontiers are immune to attack spells so, choose your spell wisely when crossing.
The final frontier, Nuitari, does not have a key. You must battle monsters and other Kingdoms until the End Date which can be viewed from the Top Ten Rankings screen. After Level 80 no more land will be gained from Monsters. Experience Points are reduced by 1/2 after level 80, 2/3 after level 90 and 3/4 after level 100. This gives other Players a chance to catch up and battle before the end date.
